Project EXPORT Fellowship Training Program
The Center for Health Equality (EXPORT) fellowship training program’s goal is to increase the number of under-represented minority health professionals in the areas of substance abuse and diabetes. Fellows work on promising practices in substance abuse and diabetes research, cultural competency, and partnership development. Training occurs both in the communities and the classroom.
Fellowship Support
Project EXPORT fellowships provide an annual stipend of $8,000 a year for two years.
Who’s Eligible?
Graduate students interested in entering or continuing at the University of Arizona in a master’s or doctoral program in fields of public health and epidemiology, Mexican American Studies, Latino Health with an emphasis in health disparities are encouraged to apply.
An Ecological Approach
The fellowship program is founded on the values and ethics of The University of Arizona Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health. The program strives to develop fellows to act with respect and integrity and continuously advance health and the well-being of communities through knowledge, collaboration, empowerment, advocacy and sustainability.
