Dr. Kelly Reynolds Featured in
Parents Magazine

photoDr. Kelly Reynolds was interviewed for an article in the November 2007 issue of Parents magazine.  In an article titled ‘Got Germs?’ Dr. Reynolds is quoted regarding the places where children are most likely to encounter germs.  Her advice to parents is to equip children with hand sanitizer, their own water bottle and reminders to wash their hands.  

The information from this interview was also featured on the Today Show.
Dr. Reynolds is an associate professor in the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health.   Her study of microbiology and the pathogens detected through her research has gained national attention.  Dr. Reynolds has been featured in several national articles besides this one, has been interviewed on television and has been a featured speaker at conferences and symposiums around the world.  

Her current area of research on the Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is gaining much attention due to the rise in MRSA related illnesses and deaths across the U.S.   Dr. Reynolds teaches in the Environmental and Occupational Health section of the College and always has hand sanitizer at her desk.
