Maternal and Child Health Information Resource Center Graduate Sudent Internship Program

Provide technical assistance to states and localities while receiving training in a real-world MCH environment. Take the opportunity to address specific, defined data or analytic issues as part of the efforts of states, counties and cities to develop or enhance their MCH and Children with Special Health Care Needs information systems. Focus in any of three critical areas of MCH epidemiology: data analysis and monitoring, needs assessment, and program evaluation. Enhance the capacity of MCH agencies in collecting, analyzing, and using data for planning and policy making.

Project areas include data analysis and monitoring, needs assessment, and program evaluation.  $5000 stipend.  Materials found in the Office of Student Services.  Application deadline 02/15/08.

Public Health Reports Summer Internship

Public Health Reports (PHR) is the official journal of the United States Public Health Service. The Journal publishes six times annually on subjects of public health importance to the Nation. The editor of PHR is offering an internship of rich experience for students of public health. The selected student-intern will apply his/her classroom knowledge and skills to real-life public health situations through assistance to the editor on most aspects of Journal production. $6000 stipend.  Application deadline 02/28/08.
