“I became part of the MEZCOPH family the moment my supervisors asked me how I was settling into the program and Tucson in general. In addition, fellow students in my cohort and the cohorts before me have been very supportive.”

Why did you choose public health?

I chose Public Health because it gives me the tools to affect change on a population level using an interdisciplinary approach.

    Why did you choose MEZCOPH?

I liked that my questions were answered on time. Also, I came here because of the opportunity to work with nationally recognized experts in my field of study.

    Public health interests:

Global Health, Maternal and Child Health, Epidemiology.

    Interests/hobbies outside of school:

Reading, food, looking for bargains, and spending time with friends and family.

    Tip for future students:

Do not be afraid of asking questions. Talking with a current student is an important way to learn more about the Public Health program.
