    Before entering the program:

    I was in the Peace Corps in Tanzania and then I was a seasonal Park Ranger for the National Park Service in Atlanta, Georgia.

    Why did you choose public health?

    I chose public health because I believe it is a very relevant field which can have huge impacts in improving the livelihood of individuals and communities at large.

    Why did you choose MEZCOPH?

    I chose MEZCOPH because I believe that it had great opportunities for me to tie my background in with my courses in my major. I also found that the staff and faculty were very responsive and were eager to help in any way during my application, admission, and ongoing academic processes.

    Infectious Disease Surveillance and Investigation in a global context

    Internship:

    Researching Gender Roles in Malaria Vector Control in Urban and Rural Kenya

    Interests/hobbies outside of school:

    Hiking, camping, art, music, travel

    Tip for future students:

    Spend as much time networking as studying!
