In close partnership with the Great West Division of the American Cancer Society (ACS), we propose to develop a program focused on increasing CRC screening rates in the state of Arizona, with an overall goal of increasing to 75% by the year 2010 the proportion of the Arizona population aged 50 years and older who undergoes CRC screening.
Maria Martinez was the Principal Investigator on this project but has since left the University of Arizona.
The primary research at Zuckerman College of Public Health is to advance fundamental, translational, and applied research that addresses the health needs of diverse populations and aims to make a profound and measurable impact on the health and well being of Arizonans and those living in the Southwest. The College’s research office fosters and supports this goal.
