This study will evaluate the impact of a multi-site green playground renovation program on academic performance (test scores, absenteeism, graduation rate) and health outcomes (respiratory health, physical activity, body mass index) in New York City (NYC) students employing a quasi-experimental study design. This project was funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
The primary research at Zuckerman College of Public Health is to advance fundamental, translational, and applied research that addresses the health needs of diverse populations and aims to make a profound and measurable impact on the health and well being of Arizonans and those living in the Southwest. The College’s research office fosters and supports this goal.
