    Majors / Minors:

4th year double major in Bachelor of Science in Public Health and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Spanish

What else are you involved in?

I am a MEZCOPH undergraduate ambassador, Honors student, and double major. I also participated in the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Consortium (UROC) Summer Research Institute (SRI) last summer. In addition I had the pleasure to lead an Honors Alternative Spring Break Trip to Nogales AZ and Sonora last spring break. I intern at the Health Promotion Unit at Campus Health and am working on an Honors Thesis under the mentorship of Dr. Keith Joiner.

Why choose the UA / What’s awesome about the UA:

I love how connected the UA is to the community of Tucson and how it strives to help those in need.

Why did you choose public health?

I love the interdisciplinary approach to public health and working with a diverse group of people to try and improve health at a population level.

    What are your career goals:

To work as healthcare litigator or counsel.

Fun Fact about you (hobbies, trivia, etc.):

I would consider myself to be somewhat of a decent homecook

One piece of advice for incoming students (transfer and freshmen):

Decide what your priorities are in life and stick to them and sometimes cramming all night for an exam or assignment can be counterproductive. Never jeopardize your mental or physical health for school; it is a sure way to burn out.
